Responsibilities
- Provide direct neonatal nursing care, including ongoing assessment, vital signs, monitoring, feeding support, and growth tracking for newborns.
- Assist with deliveries and postpartum care as needed, coordinating with the obstetric team and neonatal colleagues.
- Establish and maintain IV access, administer medications and treatments as ordered, and monitor responses.
- Document care in the electronic medical record; participate in rounds and care planning to ensure comprehensive neonatal care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across L&D, postpartum, and pediatrics to support safe, family-centered newborn care.
- Maintain infection control standards, patient safety, and accurate documentation; assist with unit operations during shifts as needed.
Requirements
- Active RN license as applicable for a travel assignment
- 3–4 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in NICU or Level II SCN
- Ability to float to postpartum or pediatrics if needed
- Cerner EMR experience preferred, not required
- Nursing degree (ADN or BSN)
