Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to residents in accordance with the plan of care, under supervision as appropriate.
- Conduct evaluations, document progress, and adjust treatment plans to support activities of daily living and functional independence.
- Develop, modify, and implement intervention plans and therapeutic activities; adapt activities and equipment as needed.
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation in resident charts; ensure compliance with regulatory and facility requirements.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (nursing, therapy, social work) to coordinate care and participate in care planning discussions.
- Educate residents and families on strategies to maximize independence and safety in daily tasks and home environments.
Requirements
- Active Maryland COTA license or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Ability to work in a long-term care setting
- Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills
