Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound technical duties for imaging heart muscle and functions.
- Create images of the heart, cardiac chambers, valves and vessels for the purpose of assessing heart functions and diagnoses.
- Operate ultrasound equipment and optimize imaging protocols to obtain high-quality cardiac studies.
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists, performing the technical aspects of examinations, evaluating findings and reporting results.
- Prepare patient charts, document imaging procedures, and ensure accurate, timely communication of results.
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and patient comfort protocols throughout the imaging process.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure or credential as a Cardiovascular Technologist (as applicable per job notes).
- Certification in echocardiography (e.g., RDCS) or eligible/required for this role.
- Associate degree in cardiovascular technology or a closely related field.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or equivalent as an expected credential for clinical imaging roles.
- Demonstrated experience performing transthoracic echocardiography and related imaging procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced imaging environment and participate in a travel assignment located in Saint Helena, CA.
