Responsibilities
- Monitor telemetry data and interpret ECGs for adult patients, identifying ischemia or arrhythmias
- Administer medications and therapies per physician orders, documenting responses
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings in the EMR
- Respond promptly to telemetry alarms and initiate appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with the health care team to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Maintain unit readiness, ensure patient safety, and complete required orientation and computer tasks
Requirements
- Active MO or Compact RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- 1+ year Telemetry RN experience
- BSN preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and to cover weekend and holiday requirements as needed (per assignment)
- Floating to other Telemetry units as needed
- EMR experience not required with this assignment; onboard orientation provided; EMR system: Altera Sunrise (Allscripts)
