Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging studies per physician orders, selecting appropriate protocols and adjusting parameters to optimize image quality.
- Prepare patients, verify identities, explain procedures, and monitor for safety during imaging, including contrast administration as ordered.
- Operate CT equipment, maintain image quality, minimize motion, and monitor patient condition throughout the study.
- Acquire and process CT images, review for artifacts, and perform re-scans as needed following ALARA radiation safety principles.
- Document procedures and results in the EPIC EMR, communicate findings to radiologists, and ensure accurate patient data and procedure codes.
- Maintain infection control, equipment hygiene, and routine quality assurance checks; collaborate with radiology team to support department workflow.
Requirements
- ARRT CT certification/registration required
- CT endorsement preferred
- Ability to perform CT imaging and radiography as needed
- Experience or familiarity with EPIC EMR
- Availability for Fri–Sun night shifts and willingness to work a 12-hour night schedule
- Travel assignment readiness in a hospital setting
