Responsibilities
- Perform Cardiac and Vascular radiographic examinations and assist with active interventional procedures in the cardiovascular lab using specialized equipment.
- Operate imaging systems to produce diagnostic digital images; position and instruct patients for examinations; assist physicians during procedures.
- Enter technical factors, adjust table positions, and manage equipment, including timing of contrast injections and cinefluorography to capture required views.
- Support and mentor staff on technical skills; provide input on workflow and process improvements as needed.
- Maintain patient safety, comfort, and documentation; respond to changing clinical needs during procedures; participate in after-hours and rotating call as determined by leadership.
Requirements
- Education and licensure: Associate degree in radiologic technology or equivalent; current CA Radiologic Technologist (RT) license; ARRT certification preferred.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification required; Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) required; TEAM or CPI training required.
- Experience: Minimum two years of recent Cath Lab/IR experience preferred; experience as a Special Procedures Technologist is considered a plus.
- Additional: Ability to work in a travel assignment within a home healthcare - hospice setting; ability to work night shifts and participate in after-hours call as needed.
