Responsibilities
- Provide highly technical professional care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization/Special Procedures Lab.
- Assist physicians during procedures and operate advanced equipment used in the lab, with emphasis on safety and precision.
- Prepare the room and equipment, instruct patients, monitor condition, and deliver routine and emergency patient care during procedures.
- Function with minimal supervision and contribute to a positive, team-based department environment; participate in on-call coverage with a 30-minute response window.
- Comply with HIPAA and departmental policies; support quality assurance and performance improvement activities as directed.
Requirements
- Certification: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration required.
- Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Experience: Significant Cath Lab experience; 2+ years preferred.
- Education: N/A
- Language/communication: Able to read, write, and speak English; able to work in a fast-paced lab setting.
- On-call: Willingness to participate in on-call coverage with 30-minute response time.
