Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) assignment in Newport, Vermont. Start date: 04/01/2026. This travel, temporary assignment runs for a nine-week contract in a skilled nursing facility setting. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and dressing changes.
- Support mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Monitor residents’ condition, take basic vitals as directed, and report changes to supervising licensed staff.
- Provide compassionate personal care, including meals, hygiene, toileting, and skincare, respecting residents’ preferences and routines.
- Observe and document care provided, inputting information accurately into daily records and communicating clearly with the care team.
- Adhere to infection control practices, safety protocols, and HIPAA guidelines; promote a safe, respectful, and dignified care environment.
Requirements
- Active state-certified CNA license (Vermont)
- Current certification appropriate for CNAs (CPR/BLS preferred per standard practice)
- Ability to perform duties in a skilled nursing facility setting and work an evening shift
- Effective communication skills and ability to document care accurately
- Capability to pass routine health screenings and background checks
- Prior CNA experience in long-term care or SNF settings is beneficial
