Responsibilities
- Perform the professional functions of a Registered Nurse within perioperative services, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
- Assist under the direction of the primary operating surgeon in the perioperative care of patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient care while meeting established standards of nursing practice.
- Promote cooperation among the health care team and demonstrate leadership and professionalism in the RNFA role.
- Adhere to facility policies and guidelines and report to the Director of Perioperative Services.
- Contribute to safe, efficient, and high-quality perioperative care and patient advocacy.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and applicable credentials to practice perioperative nursing in California.
- Experience as a Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) or perioperative nursing experience.
- Ability to work in a perioperative hospital setting and support the surgeon during operative cases.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills; demonstrated leadership in a perioperative team.
- Commitment to meeting professional standards and facility policies.
