Responsibilities
- Perform the professional functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
- Assist under the direction of the primary operating surgeon in the perioperative care of patients undergoing a surgical experience.
- Coordinate, manage, provide and delegate patient care while meeting established nursing standards.
- Adhere to facility policies and guidelines; promote cooperation among the health care team.
- Report to the Director of Perioperative Services and demonstrate leadership and professionalism in the RNFA role.
- Ensure patient safety and quality outcomes across the perioperative continuum.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California.
- Perioperative nursing experience or RNFA scope of practice; ability to function under the direction of the surgeon in the perioperative setting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to lead within a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Willingness to travel to support perioperative services in a home healthcare - hospice setting as described.
- Ability to adhere to facility policies and standards and to demonstrate professional accountability within the Tenet standards of conduct framework (as applicable to the role).
