Responsibilities
- Provide RNFA-level perioperative nursing care, performing the professional functions of an RN in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients undergoing surgical experiences.
- Assist under the direction of the primary operating surgeon in perioperative care, coordinating, managing, providing, and delegating patient care throughout the surgical experience.
- Maintain established Standards of Nursing Practice and promote cooperation among the health care team; uphold personal accountabilities as defined in the Tenet Standards of Conduct (Service, People, Quality, Growth, Cost).
- Adhere to program policies and guidelines, and report directly to the Director of Perioperative Services; demonstrate leadership and professionalism in the RNFA role.
- Collaborate with the perioperative care team and participate in interdisciplinary communication to optimize patient outcomes.
- This position is represented by CNA and requires alignment with defined roles and responsibilities within the perioperative program.
Requirements
- RN First Assist scope of practice in the perioperative setting, with ability to function under the direction of the primary operating surgeon.
- Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate perioperative patient care.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to support a multidisciplinary care team.
- Commitment to Standards of Nursing Practice and perioperative protocols; adherence to organizational conduct principles and service standards.
- Availability for a 13-week travel assignment with 4x10-hour day shifts starting 05/25/2026.
