Responsibilities
- Deliver peri-procedural nursing care for interventional radiology procedures, including pre/post procedure assessment and monitoring
- Manage telemetry, rhythm interpretation, hemodynamics, and respond promptly to dysrhythmias
- Administer medications and contrast per protocol; establish IV access and maintain sterile technique
- Collaborate with interventional radiology physicians, technologists, and support staff to ensure patient safety and quality care
- Document care, vitals, and procedure details in the medical record; ensure effective communication with the care team
- Participate in stress testing coverage when assigned and support weekend requirements as scheduled
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license for Massachusetts
- Minimum 2 years of interventional radiology RN experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
- Ability to pass Telemetry competency exam and ECG/Telemetry tests; 85% minimum; one attempt only
- Pre-assignment testing: complete Dysrhythmia (20 questions) and Medication (20 questions) tests via Zoom within 48 hours of confirmation; 85% passing; no remediation or retakes allowed
- Must reside at least 50 miles away from the assignment site; no local travelers accepted
- Demonstrated professional development activities; able to work in a fast-paced IR environment and cover required weekend shifts
