Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations for residents with acute care needs and functional challenges
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans to improve activities of daily living, mobility, and cognition
- Deliver direct patient care and document progress in the facility’s record system
- Reassess goals regularly and adjust plans to maximize independence and safe transitions
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, therapy colleagues, social work) to coordinate care and discharge planning
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and facility policies, with a focus on patient safety and quality of care
Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Maryland or eligibility for licensure
- Experience in acute care or skilled nursing settings preferred
- Ability to commit to a 19-week travel assignment with guaranteed hours
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaborative skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment
