Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients following established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent action.
- Monitor telemetry readings, assist with rhythm interpretation, respond to alarms, administer medications, and perform ongoing assessments.
- Document care accurately, maintain charting integrity, and support patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and communicate effectively with patients and families; participate in care planning and discharge planning.
- Adhere to unit policies and procedures; Float Pool notes: clock in to the unit being worked.
Requirements
- Current, active Registered Nurse license in California
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts within a 3x12 schedule
- Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and patient-care judgment
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work in a telemetry/teleunit environment and follow established standards of care
