Cardiovascular Technologist - OR CVOR Tech for a traveling assignment in Vail, Colorado. Start date: 07/20/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,621–$1,660 per week. Guaranteed hours: 32 per week. Shift: 3x12 Rotating. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital. Employment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment. This role supports perioperative teams in the cardiovascular OR through sterile technique, instrumentation management, and collaboration with the surgical staff under RN direction.

Responsibilities
- Assist during surgical procedures by maintaining a sterile field and providing instrumentation as needed to the surgical team; operate under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Apply sterile/aseptic technique, verify packaging integrity, moisture, seal, packaging dates, and expiration indicators; manage sterile indicators as applicable.
- Ensure the operating room environment is safe, verify equipment functionality, and support patient safety during procedures.
- Monitor the sterile field for contamination or disruption and initiate corrective actions under supervision; work toward competency in Tier 1 surgical cases.
- Participate in Time Out processes, briefings, and debriefings; assist with patient transports, room turnovers, and room preparation; maintain professional conduct and ongoing learning in new technologies and techniques.
- Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization; model a Just Culture approach and uphold HIPAA compliance.

Requirements
- Licensure: Licensed Surgical Technologist in the state of Colorado required.
- Certification/Education: Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or Licensed Surgical Technologist.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association.
- Skills: Must possess, or obtain within 90 days, computer skills to complete online learning, access forms, and policies; strong English reading/writing/speaking skills.
- Work setting: Ability to perform in the perioperative environment and meet the physical demands described in the job notes.
- HIPAA compliance and ability to work under supervision in a surgical setting.
