Responsibilities
- Perform clinical laboratory testing appropriate to medical technologist scope, including specimen processing and analysis.
- Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory analyzers and equipment; document quality control and instrument performance.
- Verify and report test results in a timely and accurate manner to supervising clinicians and electronic health records.
- Monitor compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements; participate in safety and quality improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and validate reagents, troubleshoot assay issues, and participate in standard operating procedures and documentation.
- Communicate laboratory findings clearly with healthcare teams and assist with specimen handling and triage as needed.
Requirements
- Active license to work in Hawaii as a Medical Laboratory Technologist
- Must be able to work weekends and rotating shifts
- Able to work 8-hour shifts on a rotating schedule
- Eligible for a travel assignment and able to meet client requirements for temporary staffing
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment
