Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner following hospital policies and procedures.
- Assess data reflective of patient status across the life span; identify patient requirements related to age-specific needs.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed; monitor for effectiveness and adverse effects.
- Document care activities and patient responses in the Cerner EMR; communicate changes to the integrated care team.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; assist with discharge planning and patient education.
- Maintain safety, infection control, and patient privacy standards; demonstrate professional communication with patients and families.
Requirements
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado
- Certifications: Current BLS; ACLS and PALS certification preferred
- EMR: Cerner EMR experience required
- Experience: Prefer two (2) years of RN experience; ER RN experience preferred
- Education: BSN preferred
- Skills: Basic computer knowledge; ability to work in a hospital setting
