Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an individual patient or a defined group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, interpret data, and adjust care plans as needed.
- Administer medications and therapies prescribed, monitoring for adverse reactions and effectiveness.
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of nursing staff, ensuring safe, high-quality care.
- Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other disciplines, utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment.
- Document care and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record.
Requirements
- Ability to perform essential ICU nursing duties during night shifts in a high-acuity environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, clinical judgment, and patient safety focus.
