Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an individual patient or assigned group according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Provide triage, treatment and support for trauma and emergency patients of all ages in an acute care setting.
- Use critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to guide patient care.
- Document care accurately, communicate with physicians and team members, and ensure patient safety during care.
- Adhere to NCI standards and sedation protocols as applicable; monitor and respond to patient status during procedures.
Requirements
- NCI required.
- Moderate Sedation Training required.
- Active nursing license to practice in California (RN) or equivalent as applicable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ER environment and in a hospital setting.
- ER or trauma care experience preferred.
