Responsibilities
- Provide basic and critical respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patients per physician orders and department policies.
- Assess and implement respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, humidification, ventilation support, and airway clearance techniques.
- Monitor patient response, adjust therapies as directed, and maintain patient safety throughout care.
- Document care in the electronic medical record, complete flow sheets, and accurately process charges for each patient.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team; demonstrate ability to work independently and supervise others as delegated.
- Adhere to department policies and maintain professional standards in all aspects of respiratory care.

Requirements
- Active California Respiratory Therapist license or eligibility for CA licensure; RRT credential preferred or eligible.
- Current BLS certification; ACLS as required by policy.
- Relevant experience providing respiratory care to adults and geriatrics; prior critical care experience is advantageous.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation; ability to complete documentation accurately and timely.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a travel assignment; able to meet credentialing and background requirements for assignment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; capacity to function with minimal supervision and to supervise others as delegated.
