Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Emergency Department RN - Nights, ER; Lewiston, Maine, United States. This travel, temporary assignment starts on 04/06/2026 for a 13-week duration in a hospital-based Emergency Center. Responsibilities
- Assess patients on admission and throughout their stay using the nursing process
- Administer IV medications, therapy, and blood products as needed; monitor responses and adverse effects
- Document nursing actions, teaching, observations, and patient responses accurately
- Provide patient education and participate in discharge planning; coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team
- Monitor vitals and patient status; respond to emergencies following ER protocols, including chest pain center guidelines
- Maintain patient safety and comfort; ensure timely charting and compliance with standards of care
Requirements
- Active RN license in Maine; licensure verification will be performed; licensure hits will disqualify
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- 1+ year of RN experience; at least 1 year of critical care nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work 3x12 night shifts on a travel assignment
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the assignment location
- Up to 16 hours of orientation may be unpaid
- Background checks and licensure verification will be conducted
