Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR), travel assignment in Watertown, NY. Start date 06/08/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,685-$2,874 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: Rotating between 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. Setting: hospital OR. Employment type: Travel – Temporary Assignment. On-call required with a 30-minute response time.

Responsibilities
- Deliver perioperative nursing care in the operating room and ambulatory surgical unit, adhering to sterile technique and patient safety standards.
- Assist with preoperative assessment, anesthesia induction support, instrument handling, and intraoperative monitoring.
- Maintain accurate intraoperative documentation and communicate effectively with surgical team members including surgeons and anesthesia providers.
- Utilize appropriate patient handling equipment and safe lifting practices; ensure safe movement of patients as needed.
- Promote a calm, organized OR environment; participate in handoffs and post-anesthesia care when applicable; may assume duties as a charge nurse as needed.
- Respond to intraoperative changes or emergencies, maintain composure under pressure, and meet rapid problem-solving demands.
Requirements
- Current New York State RN license
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum 2+ years OR experience required; those without recent OR experience must complete and pass the six-month peri-operative 101 education program with final exam
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills
- On-call required with 30-minute response time; ability to work in high-stress situations
- Must be able to move and lift patients safely and use related clinical equipment
