Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient respiratory care for adult ICU and general units, including ventilator management and airway care
- Assess patients, develop and adjust treatment plans, and administer prescribed therapies
- Monitor patient response to therapies, interpret data (e.g., ABG results), and adjust care as needed
- Perform and document care in the EMR (Epic) and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members
- Ensure equipment readiness, maintain infection control standards, and participate in rounds as assigned
- Respond to clinical changes and support the care team during nights and weekends as required
Requirements
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential; NBRC verification; CRT not accepted
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NBRC Verification, and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical respiratory therapy experience; prior travel experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
- Teaching hospital experience required; ability to work in an inpatient hospital setting
- Must be able to work the assigned 3x12-hour night shift schedule and weekends as needed
