Registered Nurse – ICU (Travel) caring for patients in a home healthcare - hospice setting in Los Angeles, California. Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an individual patient or assigned group according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines while applying clinical judgment and professional discretion.
- Collect relevant data, analyze assessment findings, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate progress toward outcomes; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients, families, and treatment teams; provide health information and support; collaborate with the team to maintain a safe, healing, and compassionate environment.
- Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of the healthcare team; document care and outcomes in the patient record in accordance with policy.
- Maintain readiness for emergencies, including CPR/BLS as required, and adhere to system-specific workflows (EPIC) and organizational safety standards.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California)
- BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS certification required per policy
- EPIC experience required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU/critical care nursing experience
- BSN preferred (not required)
- Ability to work in a home healthcare - hospice setting and participate in a 7:00 PM–7:00 AM night-shift schedule
- Must meet any additional state or organizational credentialing requirements as applicable
