Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adults and geriatric patients, including bathing, grooming, feeding assistance, toileting, and turning/repositioning
- Assist with mobility and safe transfers using appropriate equipment (eg, Hoyer lift, transfer belts/boards); promote safe patient handling
- Monitor and document vital signs and patient status; report changes promptly to the nursing team
- Support skin and wound care, including pressure injury prevention and use of special surfaces and air mattresses
- Manage routine catheter care, urine output, specimen collection, and basic documentation of intake/output
- Adhere to infection control procedures, PPE usage, and isolation precautions; maintain charting accuracy in EPIC
Requirements
- New York state license (in hand) to submit
- CNA certification and active licensure in good standing
- EPIC charting experience (hard requirement)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience
- Ability to work in an adult/geriatric inpatient setting; comfortable with equipment and routine assessments
- Return-staff policy: must not have worked at the facility within the past year
- Locals restriction: candidates must reside >75 miles from the facility
- Pre-start modules and 16 hours of orientation prior to start; background checks reviewed case-by-case
