Registered Nurse - ICU (Neuroscience ICU) | Honolulu, Hawaii, US

Weekly pay: $2,516–$2,660 per week | Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Shift: 3x12 rotating (AM/PM rotation; 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and 7:00 PM–7:00 AM)

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered nursing care for adult Neuroscience ICU patients, including post-operative neurosurgical cases and complex neurological disorders.
- Monitor neurological status, hemodynamics, and respiratory function; administer medications and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to adjust care plans.
- Perform patient assessments, manage invasive lines and devices, and respond to acute changes in patient condition with timely interventions.
- Document all care in the EPIC EMR, ensure accuracy of records, and participate in daily rounds and family communications.
- Support float coverage to ICU, Stepdown, and Telemetry units as facility needs arise; uphold patient safety, infection control, and quality-of-care standards.
- Demonstrate clinical critical thinking and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Requirements
- Active Hawaii RN license (unencumbered) required to apply; BSN preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current BLS/HCP, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS required; TNCC and CPI preferred; specialty certifications (CCRN, TCRN, SCRN, CNRN) highly desired.
- Two (2) or more years of full-time staff RN experience in a Neuroscience ICU at a Level I Trauma Center (travel assignments excluded) required; CRRT experience highly desired.
- EPIC EMR experience required.
- EKG exam with 80% or better required during orientation.
- All licenses and certifications must be valid at the time of application submission and remain valid through the duration of the initial contract.
- Travel assignment involves floating to ICU, Stepdown, and Telemetry as needed based on facility needs.
- Education: BSN preferred; RN from an accredited program.
- Ability to work in a high-acuity hospital setting and adapt to rotating day/night shifts.
