Setting: Hospital-based interventional radiology unit
This is a travel temporary assignment facilitated by Healthforce Healthcare LLC. The position involves working within a high-volume IR suite on a multi-room floor, requiring collaboration with radiologists and a fast-paced workflow.

- Credentialing and orientation: credentials due 1 week prior; Monday/Tuesday orientation; bi-weekly nursing orientation (Wed-Fri)
Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with interventional radiology procedures under radiologist supervision; scrub and assist as needed
- Operate and troubleshoot Siemens Artis IR imaging systems (Artis icono, Artis Q, Artis zee) in single-plane configurations
- Maintain sterile technique, radiation safety, and patient monitoring during procedures
- Ensure accurate documentation of procedures, contrast administration, and access site care
- Support patient positioning, monitoring, and post-procedure recovery in the IR unit
- Coordinate with radiology team to manage a high-volume workflow across multiple rooms while maintaining quality and safety standards
- May contribute to cross-training and coverage within related IR areas as needed
Requirements
- Licenses and certifications: ARRT Radiography certification and Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license required in hand for submittal
- Experience: minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience with scrub responsibilities; 3 years of IR experience and large-hospital exposure preferred
- Education: not specified; formal education in radiologic technology or related field
- Skills: proficiency with IR procedures and patient care in a fast-paced environment; ability to work in a high-volume setting
- Credentialing: credentials due 1 week prior to start date
- Orientation: complete weekly orientation schedule (Mon-Tue) and nursing orientation (Wed-Fri, bi-weekly)
- Work eligibility: able to work within a hospital setting and adhere to unit policies
- Equipment familiarity: experience with Siemens Artis systems is preferred
