Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy evaluation and treatment to patients per the plan of care, focusing on safe discharge and functional improvement
- Oversee clinical education and competency processes for OT staff, including direct supervision of COTAs and Rehabilitation Technicians
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and professional standards; maintain the OT policy and procedure manual addressing scope of care, evaluation/treatment standards, discharge planning, and documentation
- Allocate time effectively between patient care (approximately 80%) and program development/administrative tasks (approximately 20%)
- Practice in accordance with the State Practice Act and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes
Requirements
- Active occupational therapy license; must function in accordance with the State Practice Act
- Experience or ability to supervise certified occupational therapy assistants and rehabilitation technicians
- Capacity to work in a hospital setting and participate in a travel assignment for 13 weeks starting 06/22/2026
- Availability for 40 hours per week; shift lengths are 8 hours; may require to work every other Saturday
- Strong clinical and administrative communication skills; ability to balance patient care with program development
