Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered care for adult medical-surgical patients per unit standards, including assessments, vital signs, medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, and discharge planning.
- Monitor patient status, respond to evolving conditions and alarms, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to adjust care plans as needed.
- Administer medications and therapies in accordance with policy; manage IV lines and other therapies; document accurately in the EPIC EMR.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort, apply infection control procedures, prevent falls, and educate patients and families about care plans.
- Document thoroughly and timely; participate in shift handoffs, unit routines, and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg RN experience
- EPIC EMR experience
- Certification card on file; Nursys license verification
- Ability to work night shifts and fulfill a 13-week travel assignment
- Work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days; skills checklist and professional references
