Responsibilities
- Perform combined X-ray and CT imaging in a general radiology setting, including routine X-ray exams and CT studies.
- CT studies commonly performed: head, chest, abdomen/pelvis; CTA head/carotid; pulmonary embolism protocol experience encouraged.
- X-ray studies commonly performed: chest, abdomen, extremities, spine/pelvis, head; portable radiography as needed.
- Chart and document imaging in EPIC; operate PACS and manage contrast media preparation and administration as appropriate.
- Ensure patient and staff safety, maintain proper positioning, and apply radiation protection principles across all age groups (infants to geriatrics).
- Coordinate with radiologists and department staff; participate in weekend ED and inpatient imaging coverage; may float to support other radiology services as needed.
Requirements
- NY State license in hand to submit
- ARRT (R) certification; BLS required
- Minimum clinical experience: 2 years in radiology (per posting)
- Portable X-ray experience required
- CT experience including routine head, chest, abdomen/pelvis studies; CTA head/carotid; PE protocol experience preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
- IV certification as required on NY license
- Ability to work in a community/general radiology setting and cover weekend shifts as needed
- First-time travelers accepted; ability to adapt to a travel assignment and floating requirements
