Responsibilities
- Provide PTA support under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to plan and implement patient rehabilitation programs
- Assist with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, range of motion, and modalities as directed
- Monitor patient progress, document findings, and communicate changes to the supervising PT and care team
- Promote patient safety, infection control, and proper use of equipment; educate patients and families on therapy goals and home programs
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other disciplines to optimize patient outcomes and discharge planning
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Pennsylvania or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Experience or interest in LTAC or skilled nursing settings preferred
- Ability to work in a 8.0–8.5 hour shift within a 5x8 schedule
- Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment
- Ability to participate in standard credentialing and baseline onboarding processes
