Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to adult inpatient telemetry patients in accordance with unit standards and protocols
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret telemetry data, and respond to alarms and changing patient conditions
- Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed; manage treatments per protocol
- Document all patient assessments, interventions, and responses in the electronic medical record with accuracy and timeliness
- Collaborate with physicians, ancillary staff, and the care team to coordinate care plans and discharge planning
- Provide patient and family education and participate in ongoing quality and safety initiatives
- May be asked to float to related inpatient units within the network as needed for patient coverage
Requirements
- Active NH or Compact RN license; license must be valid at time of submission
- NURSYS license verification showing all active RN licenses
- 2+ years of Telemetry or Med-Surg experience; ability to work in a high-acuity environment
- Graduation from an accredited RN program (RN degree) and current licensure
- EMR experience; Cerner experience is preferred but not required
- RTO (time off) requests must be included at the time of submission
