Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg|Tele Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg/Tele, Windsor, VT, start 08/03/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,062 to $2,153 per week with 36 guaranteed hours. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients; coordinate total nursing care and support as a backup Charge Nurse
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, perform assessments, and educate patients and families
- Collaborate with ancillary staff and other members of the care team to uphold professional nursing standards and patient safety
- Document care and progress in Cerner EMR; adhere to nurse-to-patient ratios (1:4/5) and monitor average census around 22
- May float to units within scope of practice; participate in call responsibilities as required
- Maintain infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance; respond to changes in patient condition promptly
- Note: Block scheduling will not be considered; RTO requests must be included in profile and are limited to five days when possible
Requirements
- Vermont RN license or Compact licensure
- Active BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association)
- 2 years recent Med Surg Rehab experience
- Charge Nurse experience required
- Previous travel experience (at least 3 months)
- BSN preferred
- Must have own vehicle; local travelers within 50 miles are not eligible
- All RTO requests must be included in the candidate profile; scheduling requests after submission may affect eligibility
- Willingness to float within unit scope and to work 36-hour day shifts
