Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients using the nursing process and established standards.
- Monitor patient status, perform assessments, document findings, and respond to changes in condition.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; manage IVs and routine therapies as appropriate.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case management, and other disciplines to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the patient record; ensure safety, comfort, and privacy.
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff and assistive personnel as needed.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Telemetry or critical care nursing experience preferred
- Graduation from an approved nursing program (ASN or BSN acceptable)
- Ability to work nights and the 12-hour shift schedule in an inpatient telemetry environment
