Responsibilities
- Independently perform CT and CAT scan examinations according to department procedures.
- Set up imaging equipment, position patients precisely, and adjust imaging parameters to obtain high-quality diagnostic studies.
- Maintain patient safety and provide age-appropriate care throughout procedures.
- Monitor patients during imaging, communicate findings to radiologists as required, and ensure accurate documentation.
- Operate CT equipment, troubleshoot as needed, and uphold radiation safety and infection control standards.
- Collaborate with radiology teammates to maintain department workflow and adapt to changing imaging needs.
Requirements
- Active radiologic technologist license or eligibility as required by state.
- CT certification (ARRT-CT) or eligible, per state requirements.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Experience performing CT procedures and positioning patients independently.
- Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts in a hospital imaging department; flexible with department needs.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to patient safety and quality imaging.
