Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for a defined group of patients during your shift with accountability for nursing practice.
- Plan and deliver care using the nursing process, aligned with the medical plan of care and informed by patient and family input.
- Collaborate with physicians and the health care team to coordinate care for patients of various ages, depending on the assigned unit.
- Include teaching and discharge planning as part of the overall plan of care.
- Delegate appropriate aspects of patient care to other licensed or unlicensed staff based on current clinical competence and legal scope of practice.
- This position is represented by CNA.
Requirements
- Current California RN license
- Ability to provide nursing care across age groups as required by the assigned unit
- Willingness to work a 12-hour day shift schedule (3 shifts per week)
- Travel assignment availability and ability to meet assignment requirements
