Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct segments of physical therapy treatment to restore and improve physical function and mobility
- Perform evaluations and establish individualized treatment plans; adjust as needed based on patient progress
- Deliver therapy interventions using established protocols and evidence-based techniques
- Develop and communicate discharge and care plans to appropriate team members and patients
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the EMR and ensure compliance with deadlines
- Supervise assigned assistants and participate in interdisciplinary care rounds
Requirements
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree: Required; only if license was obtained on or after January 2016; or foreign equivalent
- Physical Therapy licensure in the state of practice: Required
- CPR certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
- Two years of Physical Therapy experience: Preferred
- EPIC experience: Must have EPIC experience
- Ability to work in a hospital/acute care setting and meet the assignment's scheduling requirements
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree: Required; only if obtained license on or after January 2016; or foreign equivalent
