Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – ER, located in Fairfield, Iowa, United States. Start date: 07/13/2026. This travel, temporary-assignment role runs for 13 weeks with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. Schedule is rotating, with 2 night shifts and a mid-shift per week and holiday/weekend rotation. Responsibilities
- Plan and provide total patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Direct and guide patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards
- Manage ER patient flow, monitor acuity, administer medications, perform procedures per physician orders, and escalate as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, discharge planning, and patient education for families
- Document care accurately in medical records; ensure safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance
- Maintain current certifications and follow BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC protocols; participate in ongoing quality improvement and professional development
Requirements
- Current Iowa RN license
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required
- Experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work in a hospital ER setting and participate in rotating shift schedules
