Responsibilities
- Operate computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images for radiologist interpretation; perform additional imaging procedures as needed (general radiography, fluoroscopy).
- Acquire high-quality sagittal and coronal reformatted images; utilize PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer studies to the appropriate location.
- Verify patient identity, prep, positioning, and safety measures; optimize radiation dose and image quality while protecting patients and staff.
- Maintain accurate imaging records, patient data, and procedure billing information in compliance with HIPAA and institutional policies.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of CT equipment; manage supply inventory and report needs.
- Provide imaging services to patients across adolescence through geriatric stages; collaborate with radiology team to support department workflow.
- Adhere to safety protocols, infection control, and quality assurance standards; document and report any equipment or process issues.

Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: ARRT-Registered Radiologic Technologist in Radiography and CT (R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) or R.T. (R)(ARRT)) required; CA radiologic technologist license required.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
- Certification: Advanced Certification in CT required or preferred depending on state; BLS certification required.
- Experience: At least two years of recent radiology experience, with CT modality experience strongly preferred; EPIC experience required; experience with GE EVO CT Unit preferred.
- Other: Venipuncture certification preferred; Fluoroscopy license preferred; must hold a current nursing license per the state of assignment.
- Eligibility: Ability to work night shifts and a 3x12 schedule in a hospital environment; compliance with facility vaccination requirements as applicable.
