Travel Radiology MRI Tech Job
MRI Technologist – Radiology Travel assignment in Watertown, NY. Start date 06/22/2026 for a 13-week contract with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift is typically 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., 8-hour days, Monday–Friday, with potential variability. This hospital-based imaging department position is for a licensed MR technologist able to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations following physician orders, ensuring accurate positioning, coil selection, and sequence optimization to achieve high-quality diagnostic images
- Screen patients for contraindications and safety risks, monitor for patient comfort and claustrophobic concerns, and maintain strict adherence to safety protocols
- Prepare exam rooms and MRI equipment, verify patient identity and exam details, and document procedures and preliminary observations in the patient record
- Collaborate with radiologists and imaging staff; communicate scheduling needs and any deviations from standard protocol; ensure timely image delivery to RIS/PACS
- Maintain and troubleshoot MRI systems and accessories, report equipment malfunctions, and ensure room readiness for subsequent exams
Requirements
- Active New York State license to practice MRI (MR) technologist
- ARRT certification in MR (MR)
- Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Minimum 1 year MRI experience
- Ability to work in a hospital imaging department and adapt to a schedule that may include shift variability
