Responsibilities
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions to residents in alignment with the plan of care and under the supervision of a supervising OT as applicable.
- Implement and adapt activities and therapeutic procedures to promote independence in activities of daily living and functional mobility.
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge planning in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust goals as needed, and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary care team.
- Maintain treatment integrity, ensure patient safety, and uphold infection control and privacy standards.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, rehab teammates, and families to support resident outcomes and ensure a person-centered approach.

Requirements
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in New Mexico.
- Graduation from an accredited COTA program.
- Ability to work in a skilled nursing facility setting and contribute to a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong documentation habits and clinical judgment appropriate for long-term care.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to support resident care planning and progress.
