Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, coordinated nursing care for a patient or patient group in the ICU according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Monitor patient conditions, assess data, and implement a care plan; administer medications and therapies, and evaluate responses.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other disciplines to coordinate care and ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at various levels; delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of the healthcare team.
- Participate in discharge planning and education for patients and families; provide learning opportunities to patients, families, and team members.
- Document care and patient responses in the electronic medical record; participate in rapid response/Code events as needed.
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of practice (California) or eligible to practice in-state
- BLS or CPR certification from an approved vendor per policy
- Minimum of two years of recent acute care nursing experience; ICU experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Ability to work the listed shift (3x12-hour days) and participate in a 13-week assignment
- Must be eligible to work in the United States; able to travel as needed
