Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ER for adult and pediatric patients, including triage, rapid assessment, monitoring, and interventions.
- Administer medications and perform treatments; assist with procedures and titrate therapies as ordered.
- Collaborate with ED physicians, nursing colleagues, and other disciplines; communicate patient status clearly.
- Document accurately in the electronic health record; maintain patient safety, infection control, and comfort.
- Prepare for trauma resuscitations and Code events; coordinate patient transfers and admissions as needed.
- Maintain equipment readiness and ensure sterile technique and adherence to protocols in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- 4 years of well-rounded adult and pediatric ED experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS required; TNCC/ENPC preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (3 consecutive nights)
- Proficiency with EMR and thriving in a high-acuity ED setting
- Credentialing in process acceptable (conditional compliance)
