Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Travel Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide specialized occupational therapy services across various settings, including inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, schools, and home health environments. Your expertise will support patients of all ages in achieving their maximum functional independence through tailored therapy interventions. This position offers the opportunity to work in diverse locations, delivering high-quality care while promoting recovery and well-being. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ functional abilities and develop individualized care plans
  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence
  • Implement therapeutic interventions for individuals with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, geriatrics, pediatrics, and post-acute conditions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and ensure seamless patient transitions
  • Provide education to patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment usage
  • Document patient progress accurately in medical records and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Engage in case management activities to monitor patient outcomes and optimize therapy effectiveness
  • Support early intervention programs and occupational health initiatives when applicable
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and confidentiality protocols

Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in a variety of therapeutic areas and settings, including acute care, ICU experience, outpatient clinics, school environments, and skilled nursing facilities. Essential skills include:

  • Assisting patients with ADLs to foster independence and improve quality of life
  • Discharge planning expertise for smooth patient transitions across care settings
  • Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities
  • Knowledge of acute care procedures and ICU protocols
  • Familiarity with early intervention strategies for pediatric populations
  • Occupational health experience supporting workplace wellness programs
  • Working knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and patient care principles
  • Ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual needs
  • Strong case management skills for coordinating multidisciplinary services
  • Experience in pediatrics, geriatrics, inpatient settings, outpatient clinics, home health services, or skilled nursing facilities
