Ultrasound Tech (Radiology) – travel assignment in Hermiston, Oregon. Start date 04/27/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Earns a weekly pay range of $2,148 to $2,302 with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasonography procedures in OB/GYN, abdomen, breast, vascular, and small parts as requested by licensed practitioners.
- Corroborate patient clinical history with procedures and document findings for interpretation.
- Prepare patients for procedures, provide instructions, obtain cooperation, and minimize anxiety.
- Select and operate ultrasound equipment and transducers to obtain optimal images; position patient and equipment for best demonstration of the area of interest.
- Evaluate image quality, ensure proper identification, and assist with interventional procedures when appropriate; maintain aseptic technique and universal precautions.
- Maintain patient records, educate patients, and participate in department quality assessment and improvement activities. May assist with equipment maintenance, inventory, and student or staff education as assigned.
- May administer contrast media or medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner, per policy and state regulations; initiate basic life support if necessary.
Requirements
- Education: Associate or bachelor's degree from a CAHEA-accredited sonography program or equivalent.
- Licenses/ Certifications: OBMI and ARDMS registered US Sonographer; Current BLS certification; NRP required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years ultrasound experience.
- Preferred: CRASE training if travel assignment extends beyond 6 months.
- Physical/Environmental: Able to perform essential duties in an indoor healthcare setting with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to communicate effectively with patients and the healthcare team.
