Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse (Med Surg) travel assignment in Zanesville, Ohio. Start Date: 08/17/2026.13-week assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week on a nights schedule (3x12s, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Primary focus on general medical-surgical care with telemetry/step-down responsibilities; occasional float to related Med-Surg units. This travel role requires Epic EMR proficiency, BLS, and solid telemetry experience.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical patients, with telemetry/step-down monitoring as needed
- Interpret telemetry strips, respond to rhythm changes, and collaborate with the care team to adjust treatment plans
- Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; manage IV therapies; document in the Epic EMR
- Perform comprehensive assessments, develop and adjust care plans, and educate patients and families about diagnoses and treatment
- Float to related Med-Surg units as required; adhere to unit protocols and accuracy in documentation
- Complete shift handoffs, maintain patient safety, and participate in ongoing quality and performance measures
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of Ohio
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Epic EMR proficiency required (refresher classes or sit-downs are not available)
- Minimum 3 years of telemetry and/or step-down experience; able to read telemetry; competency tested on day one
- Availability for nights with every-other-weekend requirement; start date 08/17/2026
- Ability to work in a fast-paced Med-Surg setting and float to related units as needed
