Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures, including pre-procedure assessment, monitoring during procedures, and post-procedure care with telemetry oversight.
- Collaborate with the IR team and imaging staff to prepare patients, assist with procedural setup, maintain sterile technique, administer medications per protocol, and document care.
- Monitor vital signs and telemetry data, interpret changes, and respond promptly to alarms or clinical deterioration; communicate findings to the care team.
- Assist with equipment setup, patient positioning, infection prevention measures, and radiation safety practices throughout imaging and IR procedures.
- Support cross-disciplinary care delivery, ensure patient comfort, and participate in weekend/weekday on-call as required by unit needs.
- Adhere to all hospital infection control policies, PPE requirements, and scrub attire guidelines for procedural areas.

Requirements
- Active New York RN license (ONLY)
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years of Registered Nursing experience
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
- Telemetry experience required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging/IR setting, including on-call and weekend coverage as needed
