Travel Physical Therapist General Job
Physical Therapist, General, is needed in Hilo, Hawaii, United States to begin on 09/22/2026 for a 26-week travel assignment. Weekly pay ranges from $2,433 to $2,490. Guaranteed hours: 0.0 per week. Shift: 5x8 Rotating. Work setting involves hospital-based acute inpatient care with primary coverage in ACUTE Inpatient and ACUTE Rehab, and secondary coverage in ICF/SNF Rehab. Responsibilities
- Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned residents/patients; plan and implement an ongoing therapeutic physical therapy program as prescribed by the attending physician and/or consulting specialist; provide consulting physical therapy services as needed.
- Deliver patient-centered PT services to adults with varied acuity, focusing on primary ACUTE Inpatient needs and ACUTE Rehab, with secondary coverage for ICF/SNF Rehab.
- Develop, document, and adjust treatment plans; monitor progress and modify goals in collaboration with the care team.
- Document care in the EMR (Meditech), maintain accurate records, and communicate findings to physicians, therapists, and family/caregivers.
- Be available to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as necessary based on hospital operations.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support discharge planning and continuity of care.
Requirements
- Hawaii physical therapy license in good standing by start date (active required; traveler must apply upon acceptance and obtain license by start).
- BLS certification.
- Minimum 6 months of work experience with adults in at least one setting (Acute, rehab hospital, or SNF) focusing on rehabilitation.
- Proficiency with Meditech EMR.
- Ability to work variable shifts (Mon-Fri, Tue-Sat, or Sun-Thu 8:30am–5:00pm) and to cover weekends/holidays as needed.
- Must arrive the Thursday before start to complete employee health onboarding.
