Responsibilities
- Perform primary diagnostic Radiology and CT Scan procedures, including IV insertion and injections, with independent judgment and clinical decision-making as needed.
- Operate CT, CR/DR systems and related PACS, RIS, and HIS applications; troubleshoot as required and ensure image quality meets diagnostic standards.
- Maintain infection control and patient confidentiality in accordance with departmental and hospital policies; adhere to OSHA standards.
- Communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and via Tiger Text; document findings and procedures accurately.
- May assume supervised or independent responsibilities as assigned by leadership; participate in department coverage and cross-functional activities as needed.
- Complete annual mandatory education (bloodborne pathogens, infection control, body substance isolation) and maintain department competencies.
- May support other duties within the scope of practice during low census periods and contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered care environment.
Requirements
- Massachusetts Radiology License (required)
- ARRT certification in CT and ARRT in Radiologic Technologist (R) (required)
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
- 2 years of current CT/X-ray experience (required)
- Prior travel experience (at least 6 months or more) (required)
- Meditech Expanse experience (highly preferred)
- Must have own vehicle and include perm address in profile
- All scheduling requests must be noted and verified at upload; RTO requests not approved after upload (no more than 5 days of RTO accepted)
- Travelers must be willing to consider other duties on assignment within scope of practice; Massachusetts license required
