Travel Registered Nurse Oncology Job
Registered Nurse – Oncology, Ukiah, California. Start date 09/21/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment in a short-term acute care hospital setting. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct oncology nursing care to inpatients in a hospital setting, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate treatment plans.
- Administer prescribed medications and therapies, monitor patient responses, and manage potential side effects in accordance with protocol.
- Gather and interpret patient data, update plans of care, and evaluate progress toward expected outcomes.
- Document care in the electronic medical record system and participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Prepare patients, rooms, and equipment for procedures; assist physicians with procedures as assigned; provide patient and family education.
- Support a safe, healing environment, delegating tasks as appropriate and maintaining compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license in California required.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR from an approved vendor required; Oncology-specific certification (ONS) and ONC/ONCC-CHIM certification required.
- Education: BSN preferred.
- Experience: 2–3 years of oncology nursing experience required.
- Skills: EPIC EMR experience required; ability to work in an inpatient oncology unit; no on-call requirement.
- Additional: Current specialty certifications and eligibility aligned with the department’s needs.
