Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to residents per the established plan of care, under supervision as required.
- Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations and contribute to treatment planning to address functional goals.
- Implement therapy programs focused on activities of daily living, mobility, upper-extremity function, cognition, and safety with residents.
- Document patient progress, update treatment notes, and maintain accurate records in the required systems.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to adjust plans based on progress, safety considerations, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, payer guidelines, and safety and infection-control standards.
Requirements
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential
- Ability to work in a long-term care setting
- Willingness to travel for a temporary assignment
- Availability to work 35 guaranteed hours per week
- Flexibility to cover a 5x8 day shift (08:00–16:30)
